Strengthening Communities

Connecting Cranebrook • Connecting Kingswood Park

Spyns’ Strengthening Communities project is for families with children aged 0 to 8 who live in Cranebrook, Kingswood Park and surrounding areas.

Anyone who has young children knows about the highs and lows of parenting.  It is made easier when the community that we live in is strong and supports parents.  This might mean that there are affordable activities for families with young children to take part in, or something as simple as having friends close by.  We work with parents, carers, families, and other service providers to create fun and enjoyable experiences where parents and carers can meet new people, spend quality time with their children, share experiences with other parents, build parenting skills, and find out information about the things that are important to them.

We run a number of activities in the local area.  Some of these include;

  • Playtime supported playgroup
  • Young Parents playgroup
  • Monthly Family Fun afternoons
  • School holiday family activities
  • Parenting workshops

Our activities and outings are fantastic – they are always very low cost – but loads of fun. Our last outing was Featherdale and then a picnic lunch. We provide the transport and it’s a great chance to mix with other mums, dads and carers while the kids have a ball.

To find out about upcoming activities just click the "Whats On" button on our homepage.

We also provide information about what’s happening in the local community through this web page, the Family Activities calendar, and the Community directory.

If you would like any more information about what’s happening, would like a copy of the Family Activities Calendar or Community Directory, or have any ideas about things you would like to see in your local community, please contact Toni on 4729 4277 or via email at cc@spyns.org.au.
