Community Hub - Cranebrook

Connecting Cranebrook

Spyns’ Strengthening Communities project is for families with children aged 0 to 8 who live in Cranebrook and surrounding areas.

Anyone who has young children knows about the highs and lows of parenting. It is made easier when the community that we live in is strong and supports parents. This might mean that there are affordable activities for families with young children, or something as simple as having friends close by. We work with parents, carers, families, and other service providers to create fun and enjoyable experiences where parents grandparents and carers can meet new people, spend quality time with their children,  build parenting skills, and find out information about the things that are important to them.

We run a number of activities in the local area. Some of these include;

  • Braddock Playtime supported playgroup, Cranebrook every Monday morning during school terms.
  • Make Time Women's Group, Cranebrook Tuesday mornings during school terms, childcare provided
  • Books for Kids – distributing pre-loved kids books
  • One off family events such as Children’s Week or NAIDOC
  • Early Literacy activities and information
  • Parenting workshops including Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) , Sing and Grow and 123 Magic

We also provide information about what’s happening in the local community through this web page, the Family Activities calendar. Click on the  "Whats On link

If you would like any more information about what’s happening, would like a copy of the Family Activities Calendar, seeking referral to another service, or have any ideas about things you would like to see in your local community, please contact Toni on 4729 3907 or via email at toni@spyns.org.au.
