ABOUT

Emu Plains Community Project

The Emu Plains Community Project is for mums, dads, children, young people, not so young people, and of course, you.

We are here at the Emu Plains Community Centre to offer assistance to the community in a way that strengthens our social connections and helps to develop resilience in our children.
We work with the community to create fun and enjoyable experiences where you can meet new people, learn new things, spend quality time with your children, and find out information about the issues that are important to you.

This means that we run affordable activities like; fun family activities, social groups, computer groups, low-impact exercise groups, senior programs, youth programs, and school-based resilience programs, using skilled teachers and facilitators.

Playground equipment at the centre

As well as offering fun things to do, we can also help with other community issues. For instance, we might advocate on your behalf to clarify a worrying situation, or we might assist you in writing a letter or making a telephone call. We might also help with resume preparation or enhancing interview skills. Just drop in and have a chat, you never know how helpful we can be.

The Emu Plains Community Centre also has information pamphlets on centrelink payments, health care, child care, environmental issues, and other support services that might be of interest to you.

I you have any ideas about things you would like to see run in your community centre, please contact Sharon on 4735 2323 or via email at sharons@spyns.org.au or just drop in for a coffee and a chat.
