Spyns Inc. is a community-based, non-profit organisation in the Penrith area. We work with young people, kids, families, Aboriginal people, mums and dads, seniors – pretty much everyone!

Our projects are detailed and grouped under the "Community", "Youth", and "Aboriginal Services" titles above. Spyns staff works in early intervention and prevention model, building resilient individual, families and communities – and our projects reflect that framework.

Early intervention means working alongside people before the issues get too big, and building on the existing skills people have, to bounce back and cope with life’s inevitable dramas. We are particularly excited and proud of our Making Tracks project – which works with Aboriginal young people at school, building their resilience and connection with their own education and future.

Our work is a combination of "direct service" – working with individuals and families – and "community development" where we work ‘behind-the-scenes’ on the systems and structures that we all rely on for a happy, healthy, safe community.

NSW Department of Community Services provides funding for much of Spyns Inc.’s community work.
